We made it harder
on purpose.
Parent gates and careful consent take extra steps. We chose those steps because a family’s voice, a child’s story, and a parent’s trust deserve more than a quick checkbox.
Dreambook is offered under Apple’s Made for Kids designation. The tighter requirements around children’s privacy, advertising, and sensitive features are part of the product we wanted to build.
01 · PARENT DECISIONS
Important choices need a parent.
Purchases, external sharing, and sensitive voice features sit behind parental gates. Before a child’s voice is recorded, Epic Kids Web Services independently verifies the parent. Verification details stay on Epic’s systems; payment-card and facial-verification data do not reach Chronicle Creations.
A parent recording their own voice follows a separate adult-voice consent path.
02 · YOUR VOICE, THEIR NARRATOR
More stories in your voice.
You can become their Dreambook narrator. The stories your child creates can be read in your familiar voice, giving them more adventures with a sound they know and love.
Recordings and custom narrators are encrypted in transit and storage. They are never used for advertising, commercial promotion, or training models. They are kept for the active life of the account so the narrator can continue to work.
You can remove a narrator in the app. For full deletion of a recording, contact us; account deletion removes family data within 30 days. Permission to share a story narrated in a child’s voice is a separate, specific choice.
03 · SHARING CHOICES
You choose when a story travels.
Sharing never happens automatically. A parent passes the gate and chooses to create a link. Anyone with that link can view or forward it, so choose its recipients carefully. Shared stories do not include your family’s account details or identifying names.
Delete the story and the link stops working for everyone. If sharing in a child’s voice has not been allowed, that voice cannot go with it.
04 · PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Space to create, without an audience.
No ads. No cross-app tracking, advertising profiles, or selling family data. No chat, public profiles, or stranger discovery inside the app.
Dreambook uses the selections and limited operational information it needs to run the app and maintain your library. You can review, correct, or request deletion of your child’s data.
Your family has a personal licence to read, enjoy, save, and share generated stories. Chronicle Creations retains their intellectual property. If generated content is featured publicly, identifying details are removed first; voice recordings and custom narrators are never used commercially.
05 · CARE IN EVERY STORY
Checks before the next chapter.
Stories go through age-appropriate design, text screening, and automated review of the finished narration. These are layers of care, not a promise that every result will be perfect.
Reading together remains valuable. If anything feels wrong, tell us. Our team investigates reports and uses them to improve the experience.
